Who are the experts?

The webinar will be hosted by our own editorial systems guru Gareth Meager, alongside a guest panel, which includes: Dianne Dixon, the Managing Editor of International Journal of Radiation Biology; Hervé Stolowy, the Editor of European Accounting Review; and Peter Gilroy, the Editor of the Journal of Education for Teaching.

 

Gareth Meager

Gareth is an Editorial Systems Manager at Taylor & Francis. His role involves managing the provision of support and assistance to journal administrators, editors, authors and referees of journals published by Taylor & Francis that use online peer review systems. His primary focus is on the implementation, build and rollout of new online peer review sites.

 

 

Dianne Dixon

Since 2002, Dianne Dixon has been the Managing Editor for the International Journal of Radiation Biology. Based in Toronto, Canada, she oversees the review process, continually looks for strategies to reduce review times, cognos reports and manages the social media strategy for the journal.

At the end of 2016, she implemented a new peer review timeline strategy on the journal, with the aim to speed up the time between submission to first decision. Find out more about how this strategy turned around the journal’s turnaround times.

 

Hervé Stolowy

Hervé Stolowy is a Professor of accounting at HEC Paris. He has authored and co-authored nine books, as well as chapters in 10 collective works, and he has published over 70 articles in academic and applied journals.

Hervé is a past president of AFC and previous co-editor of Comptabilité – Contrôle – Audit, the official journal of the AFC and the past chair of the Standing Scientific Committee of the EAA. He is the current Editor of the Taylor & Francis journal, European Accounting Review. 

 

Peter Gilroy

Peter Gilroy is currently a research consultant, but previously held various teaching posts in Hertfordshire, Nottingham and Sheffield University, as well as the role of Director of Research Development at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a also co-opted member of the executive of the Universities Council for the Education of Teachers (having previously been the elected chair of UCET) and one of two UK representatives on the Japan/UK Education Forum.
